A Little About This Song…

The Wind and The Rain is a derivative of an old tune entitled “The Twa Sisters”. It’s first known to have appeared in a broadside in 1656 as “The Miller and the King’s Daughter.” At least 21 English and Irish variants exist under several names, including “Minnorie” or “Binnorie”, “The Cruel Sister”, “The Wind and Rain”, “Dreadful Wind and Rain”, “Two Sisters” and the “Bonnie Bows of London”. Often sung a cappella, our version allows you to play along.
