A Little About This Song…

She’ll Be Comin’ Round The Mountain, a folksong seemingly born in the Appalachian mountains,  is a derivative of a spiritual called “When The Chariot Comes”. Carl Sandburg included it in The American Songbag in 1927. It’s often sung in a “call and response” fashion, where the audience repeats “when she comes” after each first, second and fifth lines.
