Whispering Hope was written in 1868 by Alice Hawthorn, a pen name of Septimus Winner. Winner was a prolific writer who gave us many famous tunes including “Listen To The Mockingbird” and “Ten Little Indians”. A most beautiful melody and sentiment, frequently requested at funerals and memorial services.
