A Little About This Song…
This little tune, originally entitled “Still I Love Him”, was first heard around the start of World War I in Ireland. Several recordings of it surfaced in contemporary times, including one by the Bothy Band featuring their vocalist Trina in 1976. The Secret Sisters recorded a sweet contemporary duet of it for the Country Music market in 2010.
