A Little About This Song…

A schoolteacher, Civilla Durfee Martin (1866-1948), and husband, minister Walter Stillman Martin (1862-1935) wrote God Will Take Care Of You in 1904, Civilla penning the lyrics and Walter adding the melody. First published in Songs of Redemption and Praise in 1905, it has long had widespread acceptance as a hymnal standard, and is still in use as a song of praise.
